TOURS AND
ADVENTURES
Corumbau is a true marine sanctuary located at the southern tip of Bahia, between the Discovery Coast and the Whale Coast, in a region protected by the Corumbau Marine Extractive Reserve (RESEX). This conservation unit ensures environmental preservation and the way of life of local communities, also protecting the Abrolhos Bank, Brazil's most biodiverse marine area.
The fishing village keeps its roots alive: dirt roads and colorful boats make up the scenery of a place that preserves its identity while offering peace, beauty, and genuine contact with nature.
There are more than 15 km of beaches, some almost deserted, where tranquility reigns. Among them, Ponta do Corumbau stands out as the region's main postcard image.

PONTA DO CORUMBAU
At low tide, a long strip of sand extends into the sea and reveals one of the most enchanting natural spectacles in the region. With calm, crystal-clear waters and beach huts lining the shore, Ponta do Corumbau is perfect for relaxing, walking, and letting yourself be carried away by the tranquil rhythm of the place.

PRAIA DO MOREIRA
Surrounded by cliffs and almost always deserted, Moreira Beach is a hidden paradise. Getting there requires a bit of adventure, but the rewarding scenery—calm sea, golden sand, and silence—makes every step worthwhile.

BARRA DO CAHY
The majestic Cahy River meets the sea in a landscape of rare beauty: red cliffs, blue sea, white sand, and native vegetation form an almost untouched setting. In addition to its natural exuberance, the location is considered Brazil's first beach, believed to be the possible landing point of Pedro Álvares Cabral's fleet in 1500.

PRAIA DO RIACHO
Accessed by a trail that takes about 25 minutes to walk from the Veleiro community, Praia do Riacho is a serene and little-visited spot in Corumbau. The path, which is easy to follow and well signposted, runs through sand and native forest, ending where a small stream flows into the sea, creating natural pools and logs that make up a rustic and charming setting.

PRAIA DO SALGADO (FALÉSIAS)
A Praia do Salgado, located just beyond the cliffs south of downtown Corumbau, is a unique retreat where a small river flows into the sea, creating a landscape of red cliffs, fine sand, and calm waters sheltered by reefs. Easily accessible, it is close to great shopping and dining options, especially at night.

RIO CORUMBAU

CARAÍVA E PRAIA DO SATÚ
Caraíva enchants visitors with its blend of rusticity, river, sea, and cultural charm. Neighboring Satu Beach, accessible by trail or boat, surprises visitors with wild landscapes, coconut trees, and freshwater lagoons—an immersive experience in nature.

CORUMBAU ECOTRIP

Corumbau is not just peace and quiet, it is also an adventure for lovers of off-road tours. Explore the region's beaches with excitement and autonomy with Corumbau EcoTrip's quad bikes and UTVs and embark on unforgettable experiences.

SNORKELING IN
THE CORAL REEFS
AND HUMPBACK
WHALE WATCHING
On the high seas, with Monte Pascoal visible in the background, the route takes visitors to preserved coral reefs, where the biodiversity is impressive: colorful fish, sea urchins, starfish, and different species of coral form an ideal setting for snorkeling, especially at low tide.
Between July and October, another natural spectacle adds to the experience: the migration of humpback whales. These large marine mammals come from the icy waters of Antarctica to reproduce in the warm, protected waters off the coast of Bahia. During the tours, it is possible to observe them swimming freely with their calves, slapping their fins, an exciting encounter with nature in its purest form.
